Masjid al-Khayf is one of the most important and historic mosques located in Mina, near Makkah. This mosque has been special place in Islamic religion. It is referred to as the mosque that various Prophets are supposed to have prayed and hence, a blessed place to the pilgrims attending Makkah in Hajj and Umrah services.

A Mosque Connected to the Prophets

One of the most famous narrations about Masjid al-Khayf is that almost seventy Prophets prayed in this area. This is why the mosque is considered a place of great spiritual value. The word “Khayf” means a place located close to a mountain, and the mosque is built at the foot of a mountain in Mina.

Masjid al-Khayf becomes the center of activity during the days of Hajj. Pilgrims spend some day here during hajj to rest, pray, and reflect. The Hujjaj Ikram are come here during Hajj for rest, pray, and reflect. During peak seasons, the mosque has been expanded many times to accommodate the worshippers.
